The Australian and New Zealand Society of Indexers (ANZSI) is offering scholarships of AUD$1,000 to eligible applicants, for enrolment in, and completion of, an approved indexing course. One year of ANZSI membership will also be provided to the successful recipient/s.

This free course, written/run by an experienced indexer and course developer, is intended for individuals interested in exploring a possible indexing career as well as for authors and editors who work as indexers.
Eligibility criteria
You must fulfill the following requirements:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
- Be ready to commence indexing studies, in the approved course, within four months of the awarding of scholarship
- Own, or have unlimited access to, a PC or laptop with internet access enabling completion of the course.
Conditions
- Completion of the approved course within the timeline stipulated by the course convenors and as agreed to by the ANZSI Council.
- Payment of scholarship money:
- 50% on receipt of proof of enrolment
- 50% upon successful completion of program.

This online course teaches ‘the fundamentals of writing, editing, and delivering back-of-the book indexes to publishing clients,’ as well as embedded and web indexing. For further details, go to:
