Max has been a freelance indexer for the past 32 years, and has indexed in excess of 2800 titles working across a range of subjects with emphasis on the sciences, but covering environment, arts, business, education, travel and cookery as well. Max until recently was an instructor for the University of California, Berkeley Extension virtual indexing course, a position he held for 12 years, He has run training courses for ANZSI and other organisations has been awarded the ANZSI Medal for book indexing on three occasions.
